Mrs. Andrea Camarena (Physics 3rd-6th)
I'm an alumni here at Coastal. I have a BA in Theatre Arts from Cal State Fullerton. I was an art teacher for a private school in Palos Verdes for 2 years. What does Art have to do with science?  Actually, mixing paints to get the right shade is a science. I started homeschooling my 4 children 4 years ago. I have also taught a few elementary science classes at Coastal's Academy Day program in addition to teaching the Elementary Biology Extension Class this past year. I have this amazing science curriculum that is easy for students to understand, hit different types of learners and of course, has a ton of hands-on experiments that explain the lesson even more. I'm looking forward to another great year exploring God's world with your students.

Mrs. Mia Claus (Math Fluency 3rd - 5th)
Homeschooled through most of my childhood, I've always been enthusiastic about the idea of homeschooling my own kids. They're now 11 and 7, and enrolled in the Highlands Latin hybrid program in Torrance. Teaching them is a lot of fun, but I'm very excited about the opportunity to share some of my love of the physical sciences with a larger group! While my degree is in English, I completed most of the chemistry coursework needed for a bachelor's of science along the way, and also put myself through a year of college tutoring Chem 101 students while I took more advanced classes.

Mrs. Elena Gray-Blanc (Chemistry 7th-12th)

Mrs. Nicole Jahangard (Oregon Trail 3rd-6th)
Nicole Jahangard has a traditional education from Notre Dame High School, a blue ribbon excellence school, where she was a National Cheerleading Champion. She graduated with her BA from Marymount of Palos Verdes and then finished her Major in Fine Arts and a minor in Psychology from CLU, California Lutheran University. While still at University she began working at Art Brillańt Gallery on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. After 4 years of events and creating fine art collections for international clients she moved to La Jolla where she helped to develop the Peter Lik Fine Art Photography Gallery. When ready for a new project she came back to Rodeo Drive and helped the new location of Gallerie Michael become established and worked with Old Master works like Rembrandt, Renoir, Picasso, and many more. Her decade of international negotiations and client relations has helped shape her ability to work with a wide range of situations, cultures, and people.

Her background in athletics and the arts has allowed for her fun and engaging imagination.

She is a 3rd year Coastal Academy homeschooling parent of three children and the Costal Academy Preschool Teacher.
Also, she is a founding Leader of the local AHG, American Heritage Girls. (1st-3rd grade Tenderheart Troop)

She has a passion for bringing education ALIVE through incorporating multiple parallel subjects. (Ex. recipes, biographies, timelines, games, songs, snacks, stories, crafts, & sensory play)

Mrs. Barbara Nannini (Language Arts Classes)
Mrs. Nannini was a professional who chose to leave her profession when her children were born and focus on raising and homeschooling them. She has homeschooled her children for the last 17 years. She has participated in, tutored, taught, and directed both Classical Conversations and Branch of Hope Enrichment classes.  Having always loved learning, her focus had been on the sciences before beginning her homeschooling journey. Her love of writing and grammar began as she homeschooled her children and began to recognize the joy of writing well. She has taught Literature and Composition at Branch of Hope Enrichment Classes for four years.  Her love of literature and learning have made this a labor of love for her.  It is among her greatest joys to have her students learn to love reading, English grammar, and writing!
