Graduation requirements: To receive a high school diploma from Coastal Academy, a student must pass the courses required by the state of California, complete at least 240 credits, and pass the California High School Proficiency Exam or receive a 10.0 or better score on the IOWA Tests of Educational Development.
Standardized testing: Coastal offers testing for the IOWA tests of Educational Development for 9th-12th graders. Advisor: Coastal Academy provides a High School Advisor to assist and counsel families of high school students, send official transcripts to colleges, track graduation requirements, review transcripts and required forms, dispense information concerning testing and maintain general needs of high school students. Our Advisor can also issue Work Permits as needed. Graduation ceremony: Coastal honors all graduating seniors who are receiving diplomas with a formal graduation ceremony in June. Presidential Community Service Award recipients and Kindergarten and 8th grade graduates are also honored at this ceremony. |
